Falkon BioGreen Energy
Cookies Policy
1. Purpose and Scope
This Cookies Policy (the "Policy") explains how Falkon BioGreen Energy Limited ("Falkon", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on falkonbioenergy.com and its sub-pages (the "Website"), what information those technologies collect, and the choices available to you.
This Policy applies to all visitors to the Website, wherever they are located. It forms part of, and should be read together with, the Falkon Privacy Policy and the Legal Notice and Terms of Use.
Falkon is a company registered in the Masdar City Free Zone, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Because the Website is accessible internationally, this Policy has been prepared so as to meet, as applicable to each visitor, the standards of UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) together with Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive) and their United Kingdom equivalents, and Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013.
2. Summary — What You Need to Know
The Website is a single-page informational site presenting Falkon and its activities. In practical terms:
- The Website has no user accounts, no login area, no shopping function and no payment function.
- We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, behavioural profiling, social-media tracking tags or third-party marketing technologies.
- We do not currently use analytics or audience-measurement cookies.
- The Website does not set any cookies and does not use local storage, session storage or similar technologies on your device.
- For that reason the Website does not display a cookie consent banner. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this Policy first and ask for your consent before those cookies are activated.
- We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise share personal data with advertisers, data brokers or any third party for their own commercial purposes.
The only place on the Website where you actively provide information about yourself is the contact form. What we do with that information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
3. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you return, the cookie allows the website to recognise the browser and function correctly. Cookies cannot run programmes, read files on your device or carry viruses.
References in this Policy to "cookies" also cover comparable technologies that store or read information on your device or that record how the Website is used, namely:
- Local storage and session storage — browser storage areas that hold small amounts of technical data for the current visit. The Website does not use these.
- Pixels and web beacons — tiny image or script files used to record that a page or message has been opened. The Website does not use these.
- Server log files — records automatically generated by the servers that deliver the Website (see section 6).
Cookies are further described by who sets them and how long they last:
- First-party cookies are set by the Website itself; third-party cookies are set by another organisation whose content or service is embedded in a page.
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or until you delete them.
4. Categories of Cookies and Which Ones We Use
4.1 Strictly necessary cookies — none set by the Website
Strictly necessary cookies are those essential for a website to be delivered securely and for functions a visitor has specifically requested. Under the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) and its equivalents they do not require consent.
At the effective date of this Policy the Website sets no cookies and uses no local storage, session storage or similar technologies. No cookie is written to your device when you open the Website or when you send the contact form.
Our hosting provider, Hostinger, operates security systems that protect its network. Only in exceptional circumstances — for example while an attack on the network is being mitigated — those systems may apply a protection measure that requires a short-lived, strictly necessary security cookie. Such a cookie is used only to keep the service available and secure, never for tracking, advertising or analysis.
4.2 Performance and analytics cookies — not in use
These cookies would measure how visitors use a website, for example which pages are opened and for how long. The Website does not currently use any analytics or audience-measurement technology, whether provided by us or by a third party.
4.3 Functional cookies — not in use
These cookies would remember choices such as a preferred language or region. The Website does not currently offer such options and therefore does not use functional cookies.
4.4 Advertising, marketing and profiling cookies — not in use
These cookies would build a profile of your interests in order to display advertising or measure advertising performance. The Website does not use them, does not host advertising, and does not participate in any advertising or data-sharing network.
4.5 If this changes
Should Falkon decide to introduce analytics, functional or marketing technologies on the Website, we will, before those technologies are activated: (i) update this Policy and its effective date; (ii) publish an accurate list of the cookies concerned; and (iii) implement a consent mechanism that requests your permission in advance, allows you to refuse as easily as to accept, and allows you to withdraw your consent at any time.
5. Third-Party Service Providers and External Links
The Website is made available with the support of a small number of service providers: Hostinger, which provides our hosting and domain; and our business e-mail provider, through whose service contact-form submissions are delivered to our mailbox. These providers act on our instructions and under contract, and are not permitted to use information generated by the Website for their own purposes.
No advertising network, social-media tracking tag or third-party analytics service is embedded in the Website. Fonts, images and stylesheets are served from our own domain, so opening the Website does not send a request, or your IP address, to any third-party content service.
The Website may contain links to third-party websites and profiles, such as professional or social networks. Once you follow such a link you leave the Website, and the cookie and privacy practices of that third party apply. Falkon does not control and is not responsible for those practices, and we encourage you to read the relevant policies before providing information.
6. Information Recorded Automatically by Our Servers
Independently of cookies, the servers that deliver the Website automatically record standard technical information each time a page is requested. This typically includes the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, the response status, the browser and operating system type, and the referring page where available.
This information is used only to deliver the Website, to keep it secure, to diagnose technical faults and to understand aggregate traffic volume. It is not used to build profiles, to identify individual visitors, or for marketing. Log records are retained for no longer than twelve (12) months and are then deleted or irreversibly anonymised, unless a longer period is required to investigate a security incident or to comply with a legal obligation.
7. The Contact Form
The contact form is the only feature of the Website through which you actively provide information about yourself. It collects the details you choose to type into it, which typically include your name, e-mail address, organisation and message. Those details are used solely to respond to your enquiry and to maintain a record of the exchange.
The contact form works without cookies or any other storage on your device. The handling of the personal data you submit — the purposes, the legal basis, who receives it, how long it is kept and your rights over it — is set out in the Falkon Privacy Policy.
Please do not send confidential commercial information, identification documents, financial details or sensitive personal data through the contact form. For confidential matters, please request a secure channel first.
8. Legal Basis for the Technologies We Use
- European Union and United Kingdom. Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as implemented in each Member State, and Regulation 6 of the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, require prior consent before information is stored on or read from a device, except where this is strictly necessary to provide a service the user has expressly requested. The Website does not store or read information on your device, so no consent banner is required. Any personal data contained in server logs is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- United Arab Emirates. Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data does not establish a distinct cookie regime. We process only the data necessary and proportionate to operate and secure the Website, and we carry out no direct marketing and no profiling through it.
- Colombia. Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013 require prior, express and informed authorisation for the processing of personal data. No authorisation is sought through the Website other than in respect of the information a visitor voluntarily submits through the contact form, which is addressed in the Privacy Policy.
9. International Transfers
Our hosting and e-mail providers may store or process technical information on servers located outside the United Arab Emirates and outside your own country. Where such a transfer takes place, it is made under contractual arrangements requiring an adequate level of protection, consistent with Articles 22 and 23 of the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and, for visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, with Chapter V of the GDPR (including, where applicable, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum). You may request further information about these arrangements using the contact details in section 14.
10. How to Control Cookies Through Your Browser
Independently of this Website, you can control cookies at any time through your browser settings, which are normally found under "Privacy", "Privacy and security" or "Site settings". From there you can typically:
- see which cookies are stored and delete them individually or all at once;
- block cookies from specific websites or block all cookies;
- set the browser to delete cookies automatically when it is closed; and
- browse in a private or incognito window, which discards cookies at the end of the session.
Instructions are published by each browser provider, including Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and the mobile versions of each. Because the Website does not set cookies, blocking cookies will not affect how it works.
Because the Website does not carry out tracking, no action is taken in response to "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" browser signals. Should tracking technologies be introduced in the future, this Policy will state how such signals are treated.
11. Your Rights
Depending on the law applicable to you, you may have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. You are also entitled not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing; we take no such decisions through the Website.
Requests may be sent to the contact address in section 14. We will respond within thirty (30) days, or sooner where the applicable law requires a shorter period. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Because the Website uses no identifying cookies, the technical records described in section 6 cannot normally be linked to a named individual. Where we are genuinely unable to identify you from the data we hold, we will explain this rather than collect additional information about you solely in order to do so.
If you consider that your data has been handled improperly, you may complain to the competent authority, in particular:
- in the United Arab Emirates, the UAE Data Office;
- in the European Economic Area, the data protection supervisory authority of your country of residence or workplace;
- in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office; and
- in Colombia, the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio.
12. Children
The Website is addressed to businesses, institutions and professional audiences. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe that a child has submitted information through the Website, please contact us and we will delete it without undue delay.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the technologies used on the Website, in our activities or in applicable law. The version in force is always the one published on this page, identified by its effective date and version number. Where a change introduces non-essential cookies, the updated Policy will be published and consent obtained before those cookies are activated.
Version history: Version 1.2 — 20 September 2026 — first publication. Version 1.3 — 28 September 2026 — company details updated following incorporation in the Masdar City Free Zone. Version 1.4 — 5 October 2026 — updated to reflect that the Website sets no cookies and uses no device storage, and that contact-form submissions are delivered through our business e-mail. Version 1.5 — 9 October 2026 — references to a content-delivery network removed, as the Website is no longer delivered through one.

15. Governing Law and Language
This Policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, without prejudice to any mandatory rights a visitor may have under the law of his or her own country of residence. Where this Policy is made available in more than one language, the English version prevails in the event of any discrepancy.
